Trade Standards and Associations
C & L Windows' commitment to providing trusted, high quality products and services
is reflected in its participation in a number of key industry standards and trade associations.
The Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) is a trade association for all those who make, supply or fit flat glass, such as windows, film or plastics.
All members are vetted to ensure quality of service: this vetting process includes making a site visit to the company's premises,
checking three year's of their accounts and taking up references.
FENSA has been set up by the Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) and other industry bodies with Government encouragement
in response to the current Building Regulations for England and Wales. When having windows and doors replaced homeowners
must comply with current thermal performance standards and ensure that they get a certificate of compliance from FENSA
or from Local Authority Building Control. FENSA also enables companies that install replacement windows and doors to
self-certify compliance under these Building Regulations.
The Plastics Window Federation is the UK's leading consumer protection body, offering quality insurance protection to
customers of its network of member companies. Members of the Federation have been thoroughly vetted and their customers
may be assured that they are totally dedicated to ensuring complete satisfaction with every installation carried out.
Federation members follow a code of installation practice that requires installations to be carried out with the minimum
of disturbance, and in compliance with the Federation's standard of excellence. Each member has demonstrated sound
business management, financial stability and a commitment to maintain those standards required by the Federation.
TrustMark is an award-winning scheme supported by Government, building industry and consumer protection groups to help you find reliable, trustworthy tradesmen to make improvements and repairs inside and outside your home.
